Aberystwyth Lions Club was formed in 1975.

We are part of "Lions International", a voluntary and community based service organisation of 44,600 clubs in 190 countries worldwide with a total membership of 1.4 million members.

All clubs abide by the Lions Code of Ethics and Objects.

Our motto is "We Serve"

All money collected for charity or other good causes is contributed and no money collected from the public can be spent to the advantage of Lions. 

We meet twice monthly at the Plas Antaron Hotel in Southgate, Aberystwyth on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month at 8pm - except in August. 

Our first Thursday meeting is the Business Meeting where members meet to discuss club matters mainly in the form of fundraising plans and to who we will distribute sponsorship.

The second monthly meeting is a dinner meeting when we get together with wives, husbands, partners and guests for a dinner with entertainment afterwards.

All the meetings are held in a light-hearted manner and are very informal with the correct mix of work issues as well as a fair share of fun.

The month of June each year is the end of the old Lionistic Year and the start of a New Year under a different President.
